Making Molds from Collectable Antiques

I have made a unique collection of resin pendants.
They are not finished.  This is only one layer of color.

My project began with a gift.
These wonderful items were in a very old frame.
They were pricey but it was clear I really loved them and happily they appeared on my birthday.

I want to wear them, but I am reluctant to drill holes for fear they will shatter.

So, I made molds of each.

When you make a mold with silicone putty,
you must wait at least 24 hours,
before you use it with resin.

Also, because the pieces I molded left a little bit of residue behind,
I did a clear pour into each that I used to clean our any flaking or dust.

This was the test resin pour.
I was able to see if the mold was good and then I poured in my white colored resin.
